Jeff Genovese

EDUCATOR

Jeff Genovese has been teaching instrumental music since 2000.  He has taught in school districts in Kenosha, Walworth, New Berlin, and Fox Point Wisconsin. 

 

Working as an educator has refined his skills as a collaborator and a communicator.  Living as a committed learner has given him the experience as a highly qualified technician who is fluent in computer systems (Mac, Windows, and Linux), office systems, Google project based applications, many differing web-based content managers, graphic applications, and troubleshooting.

He has created diverse curricula and collaborative projects for students.  He have also been supporting administration by managing the district web presence, creating and maintaining online conference registration systems, managing student media groups, and leading in technology professional development opportunities for staff.

​

Jeff is also a Google Certified Educator and gives seminars, coaching and professional development opportunities specifically to help Music Educators integrate Google and technology into their classroom. Request information on a possible visit

PERFORMER

Jeff is an active woodwind specialist;  having performed in a number of performing ensembles.  His performance experience of note includes:  Racine, Festival City, Green Bay, and Waukesha Symphonies, over 100 musical pit performances and MANY other miscellaneous ensembles.   He has performed formally on flute, oboe, english horn, all clarinets (including contrabass), bassoon, contrabassoon, all saxophones, bass, and piano.  He has also been the Musical Director and keyboardist at Milwaukee MCC church since 1998.  Visit his personal website jeffgenovese.com to listen to some of his notable recordings.

COMPOSER/ARRANGER

Jeff has been composing and arranging music since 2004.  His focus has been primarily composing music for young string players in a classroom setting.  Since there are very few resources for classroom elementary string teachers, he has focused on creating relevant music that focuses on specific musical objectives.
